A Week of Thanksgiving
Avery's first Thanksgiving (times five!) was great! The week started off with a birthday/turkey dinner with her Grandma Debra. It was fun to celebrate her birthday with a deep fried turkey, courtesy of Clint. The next night we had a Bever family dinner, Italian style. The whole gang came over (including aunts, uncles, cousins, and Papa) and we ate tons of yummy food. Avery enjoyed playing with everyone - and getting pushed around in her "car" all night. Then Avery attended her first Turkey dinner at Aunt Terri's house on Thanksgiving. This is a huge family event, and we think she hosts an average of 30 people each year. Avery got to sit at the big table with everyone in her own highchair & I think someone even snuck her some marshmallows and potatoes when we were not looking. =) Then we had the Calvert family dinner the next night, along with cousins Maggie & Charlie. Grandma Janell cooked up a great turkey dinner & again Avery got to sit at the table with everyone. This time, she had fun making a game of throwing toys on the floor - and watching them "magically reappear" all during dinner. We finished off the week hosting a big potluck turkey dinner at our house. This was for our friends, and their kids, so we could all get together and celebrate having such wonderful friends. Avery LOVES it when the house is full of kids, and she enjoyed playing with them all. She even showed off by crawling around on her cast most of the evening. What a fun filled week for us, and it reminds us just how blessed we are for our amazing family & group of friends.
