Summer Berry Picking

And, a new tradition is born! I plan to go pick strawberries every spring from now on- it was a wonderful trip to take with my kids and my nieces. We drove to the "Southern Belle Farm" in McDonough for a morning of berry picking. The farm had tons of strawberries, and blackberries too. The strawberries were delicious - seriously, they taste so much sweeter when eaten right off the vine. I could not keep either of my kids from eating them! Even Hunter was taking giant bites out of every strawberry that he could get a hold of. We filled up a bucket to bring home - and when I got home, I found so many bitten strawberries that I had to laugh all over again! We made strawberry muffins for breakfast the next day, and then a strawberry-pretzel salad (desert) the following day - both delicious.
