Vacation in Cape San Blas, Florida

We just returned from our first family vacation with our baby girl, Avery. Let me say that traveling with a baby is very different! (but wonderful) We started off packing the car to the max with baby gear, strollers, and a few bags for mom & dad. Then we left the house at the crack of 6:45 am, in an effort to help Avery sleep for the first few hours of our 6 hour drive. Avery did very well for her first long road trip, and only fussed when it was time for her to eat. Mommy sat in the back & kept her entertained for the most part...and by the time we arrived at the beach we were all singing "the alphabet song"! We stayed in a condo very close to the beach, which was great - just a quick stroller walk over to the pool & beach. We decided that it was a little too hot & sunny during the day for Avery, so we mostly hit the beach in the mornings and evenings. Then we would jump in the pool during the day. Overall, we had a great trip, filled with lots of memories - Avery's first time in the ocean was hilarious. She would start kicking her legs as soon as she could see the water. I think she liked it! Cape San Blas proved to be a great choice for us, beautiful beaches, clear water & good fishing for daddy. We'll be back next year!

Avery started sitting up all by herself!!
A long day of beach fun comes to an end. . .
