Fripp Island Vacation

We just returned from a week at Fripp Island Resort. Grandma Janell planned this trip for us - and she did an amazing job! We had a beautiful house right on the beach, and enough bedrooms for all the kids to sleep in their own rooms. Good job Grandma. We could walk down to the beach anytime we wanted to, and would go shell-hunting, or play in the tidepools. The ocean was a bit scary for the kids, so the tidepool was great. We called it the "baby ocean" and it grew in size every day we were there! The entire island of Fripp is a resort - complete with restaurants, pools, a marina, golf courses & tennis. We played at the "baby pool" every single day. It was great - just 1 ft. deep, and complete with a frog water fountain, and a frog slide. The slide gave us hours of entertainment - and by the end of the trip the girls had mastered it. Maggie was sliding backwards, super-man style, and on top of a tube! Avery was proud of herself when she figured out how to do it by herself. And, even Charley had a blast when we let her slide! When we weren't at the beach or pool, we rode around in golf carts and looked at the wildlife. Deer run free everywhere & are so tame you can feed them out of your hands. Aligators, birds, and dolphins were also seen. Avery can't stop talking about "deers" and "owligators"!! She will never understand why the next deer she sees wont eat out of her hand. =)
