Poor Avery had a cold that turned bad the night before her big party. We had planned a fun-filled birthday party with all of her friends & even PONY rides - but we ended up cancelling it late the night before her party. Our sweet Avery was having a bad night on Friday, complete with a high fever, the chills, and a cough. We called the emergency line for her pediatrician - and created a plan to get Avery through the night. Then we were to bring her in first thing in the morning to be seen. We found out that Avery's cold had turned into walking pneumonia! Poor Avery's lungs were sounding pretty bad - so the doctor put her on an inhaler and some antibiotics. She is feeling much better now, after lots of rest, fluids & TLC. Her actual birthday was on Sunday - so we were still able to gather up her grandparents for a mini party. Avery enjoyed a night of being spoiled by all of her grandparents.
We were lucky that our ponies can come for a rescheduled party this weekend - so stay tuned for pictures from her belated 2nd birthday party. =)
